My name is Katie Lind
I was born with the gift to communicate with the dead. I do not believe, although contrary to popular belief, that it is somehow bad or evil to have my gifts. That I must be communicating with the dark angel (the devil) or evil spirits or entities.
I did not have a choice to receive this amazing ability. I was chosen, it is my calling on earth to help others, to give the living and the dead the peace and the closure they crave. I did not have a choice, but i know in my heart that my work is far from evil. Everything I do is in light and love for the creator of all beings and I am thankful everyday for the gifts I have been given. I could not dream of doing anything else. Now that you know my story, let me tell you about the 1800 + souls I have crossed over in to the light.
I call them earthbound spirits. This term is used because the spirits I help, have left the physical body, but for many reasons, have trouble finding the light. It could be because of the manner of their death. If it was swift and they do not realize they have passed, I have to explain it very gently to them as not to heighten their confusion or fear. Another reason they would be nervous about leaving this plane is they are afraid of what awaits them in the light. Is it painful, what will they see, and the most asked question by weary spirits is will I be punished. This is especially true if the spirit has done things in their life that they are ashamed of or think it is not what our creator would have wanted. My answer is...I do not know, because I really do not know. But what I do know after doing this for many years is every ounce of fear or anxiety will be erased because that light is filled with more love then we could ever grasp.
I have had many different types of spirits that have come from all walks of life. All different attitudes and all of their stories unique. However, one reaction is always the same. The very moment they see the light, when it is calling them home, they see the loved ones who have come to take them to the other side. At that moment, every emotion is thrown into the wind and they say that universal word, WOW! As they find THEIR light, they leave with a face of contentment. It is an amazing feeling for all parties involved weather I help them alone in my room or cross them over in front of a loved one.
